From bare hands to the atomic age.You wash up in a quiet forest with nothing. Chop wood, knap stone tools, feed your Factory Engine — then let the machines take over. 2D Factory is a cozy but deep automation game: every tier unlocks new machines, new logistics and a new biome to master.
Automate everything
Conveyor belts, inserters, splitters, filters and side-configuration on every machine. Steam power first — boilers, pipes and pressure — then a full electric grid with poles, wires, solar, wind and coal. If it can be done by hand, it can be automated better.
5 tiers, 5 biomes
Forest, desert, mountains, tundra, volcanic badlands. Each tier is anchored in its own biome and its signature resource: copper and iron, then bauxite and gold, steel, oil and polymers, and finally uranium. The world stretches 2000 blocks from spawn to the edge.
Steam and electric trains
Lay rails between stations, fuel a steam locomotive, gate departures on cargo, and later upgrade to battery-electric locos with six wagons hauling your megabase's lifeblood.
Reach the atom
Centrifuges, fuel rods, a nuclear reactor feeding steam turbines, waste barrels to manage — and a teleporter to fold the map in two. Finish the Atomic Core to roll credits, then keep playing: endless challenges, 58 achievements, alternative recipes and a full Sandbox mode await.
Play together
Host-authoritative online co-op through Steam invites: friends drop into your world, build with you, and their progress persists between sessions. In-game chat, per-player stats, host allow/block lists.
