Area Survivors combines top-down survival action with base defense.

Take on the role of a lone knight and defend the central tower against relentless hordes of enemies. Defeat enemies to earn experience and upgrade your weapons and skills whenever you level up. Improve attributes such as attack power, attack range, and attack speed to create a combat style that suits you.

One of the game’s defining mechanics is painting the battlefield. Painted ground slows the enemy advance and triggers various effects tied to the areas you control. Expanding advantageous territory before the enemy closes in—and deciding where to make your stand—is a key part of each battle.

Survival is not your only objective—you must also protect the central tower from the advancing enemies. Watch their movements, adjust your positioning, and use your upgraded weapons and skills to defend your base.

As time passes, the enemies will become more numerous and more powerful, eventually leading to an encounter with a formidable boss. Strengthen yourself before you are surrounded and fight your way through the oncoming waves.

Use tokens earned in battle to permanently unlock and upgrade abilities for the player, buildings, and the central tower through the skill tree. Take on repeated challenges, acquire new abilities, and prepare for your next battle.
