The demo takes you to the prologue of the game, where Adam finds himself in the alternate lands of ASTHENIA. Explore a fortress and use portals to travel through several areas, including abandoned houses, forests, temples, and a cemetery.
Demo Gameplay Features
The Primordial Gauntlet. Your main means of fighting the corrupt inhabitants that roam the lands. Use melee attacks, a parry system, and interact with certain environmental objects that respond to the gauntlet's calling to defend yourself.
Use traps around the world, such as spikes, special statue columns that can hurt enemies, sacred fire, and other destructible objects to your advantage.
Discover and fight a hidden secret mini-boss that can alter the game’s story and other outcomes (consequences not available in the demo aside from the fight itself).
Interact with removable objects and use portals to traverse the ancient lands.
Secret items and lore. Discover common and hidden letters that tell more of the story behind the inhabitants and the world itself.
Dynamic world alterations. Certain enemy deaths will trigger the environment to change, bringing new challenges or obstacles to the gameplay.
Enemy variable behavior. Hurt foes will change their attack patterns, becoming more dangerous and unpredictable, and can even mutate and spawn other threats around them.
