You are ICF Officer no. 9496. Who are you? What's your identity? Irrelevant. You are a cog in the machine that is designed to get rid of a curse that plagues humanity. You are an Intensive Care Field Officer or ICF Officer for short.
Project Metamorphosis is an initiative that seeks to get rid of the curse called "Metamorphosis." the curse spreads through emotional activity, and once it takes hold there is strong chance that the cursed individual will mutate into a monstrosity beyond human recognition.
This is where ICF officers come in, they quarantine and treat people cursed with Metamorphosis. They are not doctors but they are all we got.
You, Officer, are assigned to the Blackwell family. Specifically [redacted] Blackwell, a timid man who started showing early signs of the curse. Fortunately no major mutations have happened yet, if you play your cards right, this will be an easy assignment where you just treat one man and then you'll be done.
But things are never that simple, are they?
Step 1) Talk to the infected about their symptoms and about their emotional state.
Step 2) Investigate their symptoms.
And repeat! Simple right?
It better be. Because remember...
Step 3) If you somehow aren't able to cure them in 14 days. They will be carbonized.
