Burakku Jakku Samurai is a pixel-art tactical roguelite demanding strict resource management and lethal calculation. You are a ronin in feudal Japan where every combat is a life-or-death puzzle. There is no luck here: survival depends entirely on your ability to bend the rules of the duel and manage your energy to the absolute limit.
The combat system heavily punishes mistakes and rewards tactical precision.
Ki Management & Perfect Focus: Draw standard numerical cards to charge your spiritual energy (Ki) up to a strict limit of 21. Pushing closer to this threshold increases your offensive power, but hitting exactly 21 triggers Perfect Focus an unstoppable, lethal strike. Will you play it safe on defense, or risk your life for the perfect execution?
Rule-Bending Tactics: While numerical cards fuel your Ki, your custom deck of special cards alters the combat rules in your favor. Deploy them to heal your wounds, drain your enemy's Ki, reveal the next card, or swap values to completely destroy their strategy.
Lethal Consequences: The enemy AI shows no mercy. A single miscalculation that overflows your Ki limit will leave you completely exposed to a fatal blow.
Tactical Map Routing: Forge your path across a hostile, branching map. Choose your encounters wisely, anticipate threats, and plan the optimal route to survive.
Roguelite Progression: Strategy is built outside of combat. Visit the Tea House to acquire new special cards for your deck, pray at Shrines to upgrade your base stats, and adapt to counter unique bosses.
