About Clearance Defence

When the shop closes, the war begins.

Every night, when the lights go out and the staff go home, the shelves come alive, and the clearance items are fighting for their lives.

You are the tactical commander of Easter's last holdouts: unsold chocolate eggs and seasonal stock. The enemy? Full-price Summer Garden Centre stock, marching down the aisles in cardboard armour, intent on clearing the shelves before morning.

Build your defences. Survive the night. And whatever you do, don't get caught.

A Tower Defence with Stakes

Clearance Defence is a strategic tower defence set inside a UK retail shop after closing time. Waves of enemies grow stronger with each passing night, and the map changes when the staff rearrange the shelves. No two nights are quite the same.

Your towers are built from makeshift store supplies: stationery, tape, whatever you can scavenge. Your engineers keep them running, hauling ammunition, repairing damage and sweeping up the mess between waves. Your walls force the enemy down the paths you choose, unless they decide to make their own. And when the shelves block your view, flick on X-Ray and watch the gnomes skulking behind them.

Play It Your Way

Made for keyboard and mouse, and just as happy on a pad: Xbox controller and Steam Deck players get the whole game, from the radial build wheel to ordering defenders about with a flick of the stick. Every button on screen works from the pad.

Ten Nights, Then the Long Dark

Clear the story nights, then take on Endless mode on any map you have beaten, with the shop generating fresh layouts whenever you want. The waves adapt to how well you are doing, so a strong defence earns a proper fight. Five difficulty tiers range from a gentle first shift to Survivor, where a single lost run wipes the save.

The Clearance Shelf Doesn't Give Up

Your defenders aren't soldiers. They're animated seasonal stock with one dream: to be sold.
