This demo for DisasterPlanZ is a shorter Steam Next Fest gameplay slice focused on shooting feel, combat pacing, enemy
pressure, and a boss encounter.
DisasterPlanZ has recently evolved from a more linear shooting and escape-focused stage game into a survival shooter
built around scavenging, base building, and defense. In the full version, the protagonist is no longer simply running
from the disaster. After enduring too many dark days of hiding, escaping, and losing ground to monsters, he decides to
stop retreating, build a human survival settlement, and defend it against the creatures born from the disaster.
Because this new direction adds several major systems, the current demo does not yet include the full scavenging,
building, and defense loop. These systems are core parts of the full version, not delayed DLC or separate extra
content. The full scavenging system, base building system, defensive structures, defense combat, and more complete
progression flow will be completed before release and will not affect the planned launch timing.
This demo is designed to let players experience the combat foundation of DisasterPlanZ before the larger survival
systems are fully shown.
The current demo includes:
- One playable demo area
- Two usable weapons
- Four regular enemy types
- One boss encounter
- A short combat-focused experience with a clear beginning and ending
You can use this version to try the movement, weapon feel, enemy pressure, combat rhythm, and boss battle experience.
The full version of DisasterPlanZ will expand into a larger survival loop built around scavenging, combat, base
building, and defense.
Players will venture into dangerous areas to gather weapons, materials, supplies, and survival resources, then bring
them back to build and upgrade a human survival settlement. Defensive structures, support facilities, resource
planning, and combat preparation will all affect your ability to hold back zombies, mutants, disaster creatures, and
powerful bosses.
The goal is no longer only to survive another day by running away. The goal is to stop retreating, build a place where
humanity can survive, and defend it against the disaster.
We welcome feedback on shooting feel, boss difficulty, enemy pacing, movement, and the overall combat experience. Your
feedback will help us improve the full version of DisasterPlanZ before release.
