About HoverHUD
VR Command Ring: The VR Control Center Built for Hardcore Flight Simulation
Supported Platforms: Steam VR / OpenXR
Compatible Games: DCS World, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, etc.
Theoretically compatible with all games/software running on Steam VR or OpenXR. As long as the target software runs in either of these two modes, the Command Ring can be summoned normally. We have verified compatibility in several mainstream VR games and found no obvious conflicts.
Why Do You Need This Tool?
Modern flight/space simulation games (DCS, MSFS, X-Plane, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous) feature extremely complex cockpits with hundreds of functional buttons. In non-VR mode, you can rely on keyboard shortcuts, joystick buttons, or even touchscreen panels. But once you enter VR mode, all visual feedback disappears—you have to rely on blind typing and muscle memory, or frequently take off your headset to find a specific key on the keyboard.
VR Command Ring was created to solve this problem.
It's not a game, but a VR overlay tool—a floating, editable circular menu in your VR view that allows you to access any function key in the most natural way, without taking off your headset or relying on blind typing.
✨ Core Features
 Customizable Command Ring
· Summon a circular/ring-shaped floating menu in your VR view
· Fully Customizable: Add any shortcuts, key combinations, or macro commands you need
· Supports dual-mode operation with Steam VR and OpenXR
· Menu position, size, and transparency can be freely adjusted without obstructing your game view
Multiple Interaction Methods (Adapt to Your Flying Style)
No matter your preferred control style, you can choose what works best for you:
Interaction Method
Description
Eye Tracking
Select menu items by looking at them (requires eye-tracking-enabled headset)
Head Movement (Head Tracking)
Move the cursor by turning your head and confirm by targeting menu items
Peripheral Joystick Binding
Bind menu selection to any button or axis on your joystick
⚡ Macro Command Editor
· Record or write macro commands that execute multiple steps with one click
· Supports delay insertion, loop execution, and conditional statements
· Typical Scenarios: One-click cold start, one-click weapon load out configuration, one-click cockpit lighting combination, and more...
In-Game Function Search (DCS & MSFS)
· Directly calls the native function search APIs of DCS and MSFS
· Enter keywords in the Command Ring to quickly find any in-game function and bind it to a menu item
· No more scrolling through dozens of pages of key settings to find a single switch
For Star Citizen & Elite Dangerous Players: While these two games currently don't offer official function search APIs, you can still use the macro command editor to bind any keyboard key sequence or joystick operation to the Command Ring, enabling one-click super cruise, one-click landing, one-click panel summons, and other quick actions.
 Beta Feature Preview (Coming Soon)
