Knight's Errand is a tactical roguelike that fuses squad-based combat, rule-bending item synergies, and a modern progression system.
Engage in classic turn-based combat: Every hex matters. Victory demands precise positioning, foresight, and masterful squad management. Every unit fills a distinct role that dictates their combat style: Mages blind enemy ranged units, Bishops resurrect and bless fallen allies, and Angels share their divine grace.
Draft new units regularly: Between battles, recruit new fighters, each equipped with unique active and passive abilities. As you progress, higher-tier units unlock, allowing you to forge a peasant rabble into an army worthy of the crown.
Equip your hero: Items here do more than just tweak stats—they rewrite the rules of the game. Bet heavily on units sharing identical initiative, retain low-tier units for the late game, or completely upend the turn order. Build your entire army around a single artifact or craft insane combinations throughout your run.
Fight other players' avatars: Your opponents are actual armies assembled by other players. In turn, your own host will become a ghost build, sent out to challenge knights who are at the exact same stage of the tournament as you.
The core features of Knight's Errand are already in place, but your feedback is essential for further development and polish. Currently, the fundamental combat and tournament loop is fully implemented with one playable faction featuring 35 creatures. A single complete run takes roughly 30 minutes.
The project is under active development. Future updates will introduce:
Hero spells.
More items.
More creatures.
More factions.
Active and passive abilities for all creatures.
Global meta-progression featuring castles for each faction.
Leagues and full-fledged multiplayer.
