Misgiven is an emotional 2D sci-fi adventure game about the lump in your throat and how difficult it can be to open up to others.

As Cassandra, a space adventurer stranded in a city of masks and unbreathable fog, you come across the mask of an explorer, whose role you'll have to play to stay alive and deliver a warning no one wants to hear. But how well can you pretend to be someone else, and how far will you go?

• Dialogue options - your thoughts - have different emotional weights.

• Your openness to another person can change over time, and new topics can become available.

• Play it safe and stick to small-talk, or try to squeeze in difficult topics for a chance to connect deeply, and risk being misunderstood.

• Pick a side in a socio-political maelstrom facing environmental disaster: the hyper-individualistic Mar anarchists, the techno-collectivist Listeners who keep no secrets, or your corporate bosses pressuring you to finish your job.

You are stranded in the city of Koriol - a sprawling metropolis built on the rim of a giant crater, veiled in toxic fog.
