About Monster Emblem: Vision Impossible

Monster Emblem: Vision Impossible is a classic 2D pixel-art Monster Collector RPG inspired by early-2000s console adventures.

After centuries of war, the factions of the realm have finally agreed to stop killing one another. Disputes will now be settled peacefully, sensibly, and responsibly through heavily armed monster duels.

As a foreign traveler, you are invited to explore this newly peaceful realm. Catch, train, and breed over 200 monsters, assemble your ideal team, and master a tactical grid-based combat system where movement and positioning can be just as important as raw power.

Challenge the leaders of every faction, collect their Faction Emblems, and earn your place in the Great Monster Tournament. Survive long enough, and you might even claim the legendary Monster Emblem. Easy enough. Probably.

  • Complete Your Bestiary: Discover over 200 unique monsters scattered across the realm. Some are adorable, some are horrifying, and some manage to be both.

  • Social Play: Join Steam Lobbies and see other players exploring the world in real time. Chat, trade monsters, challenge rival tamers to duels, or silently judge their team choices.

  • Tactical Grid Combat: Battles happen directly on the world map, transforming the surrounding terrain into a strategic battlefield. Position your monsters, plan their movement, and try to hit the tile you actually intended.

  • Quests: Help townsfolk and factions deal with stolen heirlooms, invading goblins, suspicious rituals, dangerously enthusiastic wildlife, and other perfectly normal local problems.

  • Bounty Hunts: Accept contracts to track down dangerous rogue monsters. Defeat or capture your target to earn rewards, improve your Bounty Hunter Rank, and gain access to even bigger things that want to eat you.

  • Breed Your Perfect Team: Pair compatible monsters to inherit useful skills and a portion of their parents' stats. Choose carefully, put them together, and politely give them some privacy.

For centuries, powerful factions fought for control of the realm, using monsters as their greatest weapons. The new peace agreement forbids humans from killing one another, grants free passage across the land, and replaces open warfare with regulated monster duels.

To keep humanity's competitive urges under control, the Seers Guild created the Great Monster Tournament. Any foreigner may compete, but only those who collect every Faction Emblem will be allowed into the Great Monster Arena. Your journey will take you through lands ruled by jesters, witches, wizards, druids, necromancers, Warlocks, and other people who should probably not be trusted with political authority.

Meanwhile, the supposedly all-seeing Seers are troubled by something they cannot perceive. Warlocks move beyond their psychic vision, helping some communities while alarming those in power. Whether they are dangerous villains or merely asking inconvenient questions is something you will have to decide for yourself.

Build your team. Explore the factions. Survive the jokes. Question absolutely everyone. Then enter the Great Monster Tournament and prove that an inexperienced foreigner with several dangerous creatures can solve problems that centuries of diplomacy could not.

Developer Note: A very long time ago I had a vision of the most fun game ever. Sadly enough I did not write any of it down and forgot most of it over time, but this one is also pretty fun.
