Necromancer Idle: The Endless Drain is an Incremental/Idle game inspired by the RPG and Roguelite genres. Choose between three starting classes — Soldier, Ranger or Mage — and journey across a fantasy world while you improve your skills and grow more powerful.
The protagonist is blessed with the ability of rebirth, and has been cursed by The Necromancer's curse. A curse that drains your life force, making him more powerful while it consumes your power. You will have to fight your way through each life until you find the way to end him and put a stop to the curse.
Your stats increase as you practice them. By performing actions, you gain learned and innate experience in those skills. When you die, you keep the innate experience, which makes your character more powerful every time and progress faster, letting them reach further. In addition, by helping certain characters or performing actions you can mitigate the effect of the necromancer's curse. But you won't always be the one helping others — sometimes others will be the ones helping you.
Throughout the story, you may run into other characters created by you, who will help you in certain fights or to overcome obstacles that are impossible for you, easing your access to rewards you could not obtain any other way.
You will find obstacles that are very hard to overcome the first few times you reach them. You decide whether to dig in and keep trying until you succeed, or leave them to complete when you are more powerful. Both routes will succeed, but one may be more efficient than the other.
Some routes are inherently difficult for a class. You are not forced to take that route, but the hard route may hide a reward for your class. You can overcome the obstacles on these routes with the help of another character who has advanced far enough in the story, or by obtaining an item, skill or spell to get past that obstacle.
You can earn the favor of each region's gods by praying at their temples to ease the effect of the necromancer's curse and gain their favor in the fight against that area's boss. You will need all the help you can get in your fight against The Necromancer.
Necromancer Idle lets you set up a list of automated actions that will be automatically added to the action queue every time you enter a room, as long as you have already created that list. This way, when you die, your character will repeat those actions, doing them faster and reaching further, until they run out of actions to do upon reaching an unknown room.
You decide which information is useful to you. Customize the game's interface to your liking. Enlarge the panels you want to see better, minimize the ones you don't want to see at all. You can rearrange every panel however you like.
While the game is closed, you will accumulate time in your offline time Pool, which you can spend by setting the game to x2 or x3 speed, so you don't lose a single second of progress. The Necromancer is not going to waste it, and neither should you.
You must put an end to The Necromancer to break the cycle and rid the world of his evil. His influence spans the entire world, and people suffer under his oppression. But remember: to defeat him, growing more powerful is not enough. As he drains your power, he grows stronger too. Rebirth may not be enough — you may have to...
Reincarnation is a prestige system in which you lose a good part of your game progress, but in exchange you gain other bonuses that speed up progression — making it easier to beat The Necromancer in your race to see who grows more powerful, faster.
The entire first chapter is available in the demo. Try it for free before deciding whether the game is to your liking. If you buy the game, you can export your demo progress and import it into the full game to keep your advance.
New chapters with unique bosses that will challenge each class. Defeat them to obtain exclusive materials at guilds, colleges and academies, and craft special items that boost your stats and open up new strategies. Some bosses will require specific items to defeat them: a Mirror Shield to deflect their attacks, tools to cauterize the heads you cut off the Hydra...
New characters such as the cleric, paladin, bard or thief, among others. You will be able to create these characters, choosing their names, and run into them along your adventure, overcoming difficult obstacles or obtaining things unique to you.
But perhaps defeating the Necromancer is not the end... you will have to find that out for yourself.
