Build the squad. Pay the flesh price.
You are a flesh-engineer riding a freight line run by a rogue AI called the Conductor. Draft vat-grown units and graft them with black-market augments. Every purchase asks the same question: how much of your squad are you willing to ruin for more power?
Make every choice before DEPART
At each station, spend scrap on units and augments. Choose which unit takes the corruption, read the enemy manifest, and arrange your squad on the train car's 4×8 grid. Pull DEPART when the formation is ready. The fight then resolves automatically in 20–40 seconds, with every attack and synergy shown in sequence.
Win, salvage the wreckage, and spend it at the next station. Lose, and the train prints the choices that killed your run.
Build something powerful enough to go wrong
Corruption stacks on the units carrying your strongest augments. Push a unit too far and it mutates. A visible synergy web shows the combinations you have found and the gaps you can chase next time. The best runs end with a squad that feels engineered, unstable, and completely yours.
