Rally the Parties is a real-time party-based RPG where enemies and allies move alongside your character. You direct the battle through high-level orders, and your party members act autonomously based on their assigned policies. You can switch between characters at any time to take direct control of any role.
Melee, ranged, support, lockdown, flanking — seven character classes each bring unique combat techniques, and your tactical options shift dramatically depending on how you combine them. Orchestrating synergy between party members is the key to success.
Real-time tactics: On a battlefield where allies and enemies keep moving at the same time, you command your party and react on the fly. Three time-flow modes are available, including a semi-real-time mode that lets you stop and think.
Seven classes, seven roles: Swordfighter, Axe Warrior, Scout, Archer, Fire Mage, Water Mage, and Healer. Each has its own attack range and special abilities, and the way you mix them reshapes your strategy.
Lead through directives: Issue party-wide orders such as Attack, Defend, Rally, or Retreat. Your companions interpret your intent and act on their own judgment.
Recruit and expand: Talk to NPCs you encounter in the dungeon and build a party of up to eight. Different combinations open up entirely different approaches.
Multiple parties exploring at once: You're not the only group in the dungeon — several NPC parties roam and explore on their own. Sometimes you cooperate, sometimes you compete; their presence gives the adventure life and unpredictability.
Roguelike stakes: One defeat ends the run. Every attempt invites you to rethink your party, equipment, and tactics on the path to the Demon Lord at the deepest floor.

In my youth, I was struck by Ali Baba (Starcraft, 1985) — an RPG where you switched between multiple characters as you played — and was further captivated by the arcade game Gain Ground (Sega, 1988), which built its design around the strategic use of distinct characters with unique abilities. That sense of fascination has never faded.
In the years since, tactical RPGs and MMORPGs flourished, and games featuring parties of cooperating characters became commonplace. But none of them quite captured what I was looking for. The ideal game system remained a recurring daydream — never something that felt within reach to actually build.
Then came the recent rise of generative AI, which suddenly made it possible for an individual to produce a game at a quality previously requiring a full studio. Sensing that this might be the last opportunity to bring a long-held idea to life, I finally began development. Rally the Parties is the result.
This game is made for players who:
