Chain your attacks. Evolve your monster. A dark-folklore roguelike deckbuilder.
Deep in the Everwood, a forest with no end, a necromancer works his craft, unspooling human souls and reweaving them into monsters.
Three of his creations tore free of his grip. Now they hunt him through the endless trees, to end his work for good. You are one of them.
Instead of dumping a hand and ending your turn, you place glyphs into a chain of sockets, one after another, building a combo that resolves all at once.
Order is everything: a burn applied before its detonation, a finisher saved for last, a wild glyph spent to bridge a broken chain. Every turn is a small puzzle, and a good hand played in the wrong order is a wasted one.
Mid-run, each monster commits to an irreversible fork in its path - a permanent transformation that reshapes how it fights. The choice is yours, the consequences are forever, and no two runs grow the same way.
The Kitsune - a fragile, vicious fox-spirit who builds walls of flame and detonates them. Glass cannon. High skill, higher reward.
The Goblin - a bruiser who turns punishment into power, hoarding a swelling ball of greed to unleash when the moment is ripe.
The Ghoul (coming soon) - a famished thing that grows by devouring its prey, feeding hungry sockets and harvesting souls to survive.
Each evolves twice along branching paths into four possible final forms.
This is an early demo of a game in active development. Expect the core loop. Glyph-chaining combat, two fully-built heroes, evolutions, blessings, and the first stretch of the Everwood. More heroes, deeper forest, and the hunt for the Soul Lord himself are on the way.
I'm a solo developer building this in the open. Feedback is gold. If something feels great or feels broken, tell me.
Severwood is in development. Wishlist and check back as the forest grows.
