About The Lone Keeper

What if you were paid to be alone with your thoughts?

The Lone Keeper is a first-person psychological horror game set on a remote island lighthouse in the middle of the ocean. You play as a newly hired keeper assigned to maintain the lighthouse overnight. What begins as a quiet, mundane job slowly unravels into a nightmarish descent into isolation, hallucinations, and a crumbling sense of reality.

Wake up each day to complete your routine—fuel the generator, report weather conditions, and check the radio for ship signals. But something feels... off. Objects seem to change when you’re not looking. Shadows stretch just a little too far. The foghorn groans with something more than wind. And at night, the dreams come.

Inspired by real-world phenomena like pareidolia, the game constantly challenges your perception—what looks like a figure in the dark may just be a coat rack... or may not. As days pass and time itself fractures, you’ll begin to question what’s real, what’s imagined, and whether anyone is really listening to your reports.

🧠 Key Features

  • Psychological Horror in Isolation
Experience the slow descent into madness as your only company is your thoughts—and the things that may or may not be watching.

  • Pareidolia Mechanics
Objects in the environment shift shape depending on how you look at them. Was that a face… or just a stain on the wall?

  • Routine vs. Reality
Perform daily tasks like fueling generators and sending weather reports—but as the days progress, the routines begin to unravel.

  • Narrative-Driven Exploration
No combat. No HUD. Just you, your radio, and your unraveling mind.

  • Minimal UI, Maximum Atmosphere
Designed to be immersive and grounded. Your tools are physical. Your fears are internal.

If you're drawn to slow-burn horror, atmospheric storytelling, and unsettling ambiguity, The Lone Keeper offers a short but deeply immersive experience that lingers well after the credits roll.
