About Trippy Plains

FEEL WHAT IT'S LIKE TO FLY FPV

Trippy Plains is an FPV drone simulator built for both total beginners and experienced pilots. Strap into the cockpit of a 5" freestyle quad, a racing drone, a collective-pitch helicopter or a tiny whoop — then fly anywhere you want across 15 distinct worlds.

No tutorials. No grinding. Just fly.

15 WORLDS TO EXPLORE

Every map has its own character, layout and atmosphere:

  • Trippy Plains — the home world. Neon portals, rolling hills, wide open skies. Fly through glowing rings to teleport across the map, and dive the Eiffel Tower far to the south.

  • Central London — a 1:1 recreation of Westminster. Dive inside Big Ben's tower, thread the Thames arches, fly through Parliament's great hall and carve through St James's Park.

  • Starbase — a rocket launch facility packed with cranes, fuel towers, tank farms, rocket transporters and climbable Raptor-engine rockets. Inspiration: a certain South Texas coast.

  • Speedway — a tight race circuit with beacon gates, live lap timing and a leaderboard. Beat your own ghost.

  • Twister — a technical race track with sweeping banked corners and elevation changes. High risk, high reward.

  • Ruhrwerk Factory — an industrial complex with turbines, conveyors and two-storey interior space to thread through.

  • Bando Resort — an abandoned leisure park. Crumbling pools, broken rooftops, overgrown courts. Classic bando style.

  • Atompark — a nuclear facility with dive-through cooling towers and hollow reactor buildings.

  • Wonderpark — a fairground at dusk. Ferris wheels spin, teacups rotate, lights glow.

  • Field — wide open countryside with scattered obstacles. Perfect for learning and high-speed runs.

  • Japan / Tokyo — neon-lit city streets, torii gates and a dense urban skyline at night.

  • Runner — a stylised corridor gauntlet. Speed gates, tight gaps, relentless flow.

  • Canyon Run — a desert gorge of towering rock walls, natural stone arches and slot-canyon gaps to thread at speed.

  • Fractal — a psychedelic dreamscape of self-similar geometry: dive a Menger-sponge mind, thread golden-spiral gates, fly Mandelbrot monoliths and recursion trees, and find the whole world mirrored twice its size overhead.

  • Sandbox — place your own obstacles and design your own course.

10 AIRCRAFT

  • Each craft has its own weight, motor response and handling profile:

  • APEX 5 — 5" freestyle quad. Snappy, punchy, the all-rounder.

  • GHOST 5 — 5" freestyle with a softer tune. Floaty and forgiving.

  • VENOM R — 5" pure racer. Fast, stiff, unforgiving.

  • SILK 3 — 3.5" cinewhoop. Smooth and cinematic.

  • STING 2.5 — 2.5" sub-250g micro. Twitchy and quick.

  • HORIZON 7 — 7" long-range cruiser. Effortless power.

  • ROTOR CP — collective-pitch helicopter. A completely different challenge.

  • FLEX 3.5 — 3.5" freestyle. Nimble and punchy.

  • PICO 65 — 65mm 1S whoop. Tiny but fierce.

  • TITAN X8 — 8" cinelifter X8. Heavy, stable, cinematic lift.

FLIGHT MODES

  • Angle mode — self-levelling. Pick it up in minutes.

  • Acro mode — full manual. No self-level. The real FPV experience.

Switch between them at any time with a single key. Master one before moving to the other.

FEATURES

  • Broad controller support — FPV/RC radio transmitters in USB game-controller mode, plus Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro and generic gamepads, with an in-game stick calibration wizard

  • Per-craft expo and rate tuning — adjustable Betaflight-style rates, PID, angle limits and camera tilt

  • Fine-tune the physics yourself — sliders for fall speed, apex hang, drag and more

  • Live lap timing and leaderboards on race maps

  • Time-of-day lighting — fly at dawn, noon, dusk or night

  • Wind simulation with turbulence

  • Cinematic post-processing — bloom, film grain, chromatic aberration, motion blur, adjustable sharpening

  • Render-scale and fast-render options to run smoothly from integrated graphics up to high-end GPUs

  • Battery simulation with real voltage sag

  • Dust kick on low-altitude passes

  • Portal teleportation between worlds — no loading screens
