XPlayer is a Windows local media library for browsing videos, images, and audio on your PC more intuitively, with support for hiding video sections you do not want to watch and exporting video files.
XPlayer is designed for users who keep large amounts of video, image, and audio files locally. Use XPlayer to build your own local media library: thumbnails and the video strip help you quickly browse large amounts of content, search, filters, and tags help you locate files, and history brings you back to recently opened media. For videos, you can also hide sections you do not want to watch so playback skips them automatically; when you need to create a new video, basic video editing tools can export the processed content as a single video file.
Local media library: Add one or more folders as media library roots and scan videos, images, and audio into one workspace.
Category browsing: XPlayer provides dedicated browsing views for videos, images, and audio, making different media types more intuitive to browse; you can also filter content by search, folder, tag, and scan date.
Video strip: In the video list, a lightweight video strip shows thumbnails, clip structure, hidden sections, and the current playback position. It loads quickly, uses few resources, and is suited for quickly browsing large numbers of local videos.
Instant preview: Select media to preview it in the built-in viewer, or open the dedicated playback view and full-screen playback.
Tags: Add tags to media, filter content with tags, and find related files faster.
Hidden video sections: Without modifying the source file, select and hide video sections you do not want to watch so playback skips them automatically.
Video editing: Basic video editing tools can export processed content as a single video file.
History: Record local media you have played, view recent playback by date, and return to videos, images, or audio opened earlier.
