Mastodonte

Mastodonte is an attempt to revitalize the classic genre of Scrolling Shooters, adding more complexity by demanding the player to move across 3 dimensions, using two different cameras. Sometimes you will required to play in a particular camera or at a specific depth.

  Context:

  The narrative takes place in a not so distant future, where Ivory Coast is an imperialist superpower, and needs to deal with global tensions in a world where natural resources become increasingly scarce. You are in control of three Ivorian pilots from the Mastodonte Squadron, and will need to accomplish different types of missions, from escorting vessels to striking industrial facilities.

  MEET THE TEAM

  

  Cedric:

  One of the most popular poster boys of the regime, loves his superstar lifestyle, notoriously spotted in nightclubs drowning in booze and girls. His sweet talk helps him even with high-level officers. Has difficulties dealing with his narcissistic ego and recognizing other people's need.

  Marcel:

  Cold and extremely skilled pilot, but with a sarcastic humor, love bonuses and doesn't miss an opportunity for an off-the-book reward. Suspicion falls on him for using amphetamines before intense missions. Has great loyalty and admiration for his comrades, despite showing a certain tendency towards psychopathy.

  Yaya:

  Married and a family man, traits that makes him more averse to parties than his pals. With a big heart, has a passion for culinary and powerlifting. Despite showing slow thinking sometimes, he ends up being one of the most questioning pilots of regime's abuses.
