BattleSage

BattleSage is a 3rd person single player action adventure game.

You fly through the adventure as a young magician in a vertical world filled with floating villages, towns and temples. The intuitive flight mechanic gives you total freedom to explore the magic world. The world is made tangible by a unique haptic feedback system. Along the way, you will meet friends and enemies and puzzles will challenge you to gain more mastery of your flying skills. The game features a unique color palette brought to life in an impressionistic way.

Being able to fly is a fantasy that many people secretly treasure. From the oldest mythology to the most recent superhero movies, everywhere we find characters who are powerful. We bring that fantasy to life in BattleSage.

To fully enjoy flying, we are creating a world that encourages it. The level design challenges the player to fly through it. Think of fissures, bends or holes. We make the world tangible to the player through haptic feedback in the controller, which increases when flying close to the geometry.

The construction of the world is primarily inspired by flight mechanics.The world of BattleSage possesses a lot of verticality. If we draw a line from the starting point in the game to the point where the player ends, it runs almost straight up.

Puzzles and battles are the two pillars on which the hurdles and challenges rest. A combat scenario sometimes contains thinking and a puzzle sometimes contains a combat element.
