Each protozoan has its own neural network that grows and adapts as you play through the stage. The result is enemies that develop truly emergent behavior. Even the developer doesn't know what they will do next.

Fight Evolution

Protozoa can specialize in niches and gain new abilities depending on how you play. They will figure out how to get around your defenses or mutate resistances to specific types of towers to power through. The more resistant they become to one type of tower the more vulnerable they are to another type so the key is to recognize how they are changing and know the appropriate counter. You can try to bait them into traps but it will only work for so long. Stay ready to switch up your strategy when they start to catch on.

Incredible Adventure

Protozoa is set in the future during the first ever manned mission to an interstellar world. Many of the stages take place on small moons and asteroids in orbit around a planet. View sunrises and sunsets every few minutes as you fight on a rock moving at thousands of miles per hour. The androids arrived in this system first to establish the foundations for bases and asteroid mines. These resources are vital for the survival of the colony. It's up to you to protect the reactors from the alien protozoa as they are desperately drawn to the power emitted.
