About Infinitum: The Backrooms Story

Explore procedurally generated Backrooms levels mixed with handcrafted areas. Each expedition can lead to different corridors, offices, hostile zones, safe rooms, and decayed spaces.
Some parts are built by hand for story moments, puzzles, scripted events, and chase sequences.
The Backrooms are not always loud or dangerous. Sometimes the worst part is finding a room that feels safe, but shouldn’t be there.

High-tech survival inside forgotten Backrooms spaces.
Wear neon-lit hazmat suits, use tools like the MEC container, holographic tablet, and scanners, and move through decayed levels where advanced gear feels strangely out of place.
Customize your suit with colours, decals, and patterns so your team stands out in the dark.

Your base inside the Backrooms, where the Crew rests, works, and prepares for the next expedition.
Bring back objects from the levels, recycle them into resources, craft tools, and unlock new recipes through exploration and Outpost tasks.
The Outpost is not just a menu. The Crew has routines, responsibilities, and stories, and keeping yourself rested can affect how well you survive outside.

Explore the Backrooms with friends, but stay close. With proximity chat, distance can turn teamwork into silence.
Scavenge, heal, survive, and bring resources back to the Outpost together.
Between the horror, customize your suit, use emotes, mess with friends, adopt cats, and create your own co-op moments.

Every expedition tests more than your courage. Hunger, thirst, stamina, and limited light all affect how far you can push into the Backrooms.
Manage food, water, batteries, and tools carefully. Running out of supplies can make escape much harder.
What you bring back matters too. Scavenged resources can support both your survival and the Outpost.

Infinitum follows Izaak Finnley’s story, with dialogue, choices, and consequences that affect how events unfold.
In multiplayer, everyone experiences the story from Izaak’s perspective. When major decisions appear, players vote, and the majority choice decides the outcome.
Who you support, what you sacrifice, and how you treat the Crew can change the story, resources, dialogue, and who survives.

Not every entity behaves the same. Some hunt, some watch, and some only react under specific conditions.
Learn how each encounter works, adapt during expeditions, and stay alert when the Backrooms feel too quiet.
Scripted chase sequences create intense moments, while procedural encounters keep exploration unpredictable.
