About Brave Eduardo Demo

Living World

Our approach to Brave Eduardo’s world is character focused. While the environment is important, this Victorian Era-inspired world is heavily driven by ambitious businessmen, dutiful Knights, a contentious monarchy system, and beings beyond people’s (Bear’s) comprehension. There is an anxious class struggle between Spidz and Bears, manipulated by well-connected individuals from both sides.

For Fans of Hollow Knight and Breath of the Wild

During the very beginning phases of Brave Eduardo, we were absolutely entranced by the flawless combat system of Hollow Knight. We also loved the freedom that we felt while playing Breath of the Wild. As a result, we spent a lot of time in making the combat feel good, while trying to make the game feel as open and free as possible. We put in mechanics like cooking, weather, and dungeon crawling inspired heavily by Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild.

The earliest inspiration for this game comes from a popular legend on the internet: it's about teddy bears forgotten under children's beds, secretly protecting them while they sleep, and fighting against the evil forces that seek to destroy their childhood innocence. Based on this impression from their own childhood, the developers have created a vast and captivating world.

Brave Eduardo Was Originally Designed As A Horror Game

There is something that people like about seeing an adorable and cute thing sitting next to a body horror-inspired monster. While we scaled back tried to scale back the horror as much as possible, the audience of many conventions URGED us to return the horror aspect to the game. We’ve decided to keep the scary part in the game but do so subtly.

A Card Game within the RPG

We think what makes a good RPG (i.e. Knights of the Old Republic, Witcher, Skyrim…etc) is always the world. What the citizens do for entertainment is a big part of it. With this excuse in mind, John embarked on a journey to draw 100 cards and he completed his trek on the very last day of 2019. (P.S. there is a physical version of this game as well!)

An Amazing Composer

As you can probably tell from the music in the trailer, our composer is amazing. He is working hard on making a great theme and sound effects for the game. We even hired an orchestra to play his music live! One thing we can always be sure of is an amazing OST (just look at our other games)! It is all cause of our amazing composer.
