Captain Midnight is a first-person horrific mystery game about what happens after the end of the world. 

It started small. A few sick people here, a few sick people there. Then there was thousands, millions. We called them "the drowned," on account of us not being all that creative back then. They ran for the ocean until the air left their lungs and the squirming masses burst from their eyes like confetti. Real mess, I tell ya. I saw it myself once or twice. Don't recommend it. 

Save The World

Just kidding. The worlds cooked, rotten. You missed the boat on saving it by a few decades- but there's still good to be done. 

A new disease is spreading amongst the survivors, a real doozy. I'll spare ya the details but let's just say somethings eating all of their memories, gobbling them right up. And then replacing them with fake ones. Ive seen em talk for an hour about kids they never raised, that never existed.

And then...well, it gets worse. Rather not write it down, to be honest, so I'll brief you on the way. Not good to dwell.   

Find Patient Zero

Someone started this, Captain. Someone dove too deep, deeper than deep, I reckon, and caught something other than dinner. 

To kill it, youre gonna have to find it. Find where it started. Find the source and snuff it out. 

It won't be easy, no sirree, you'll have to use all your grandfather's tools to track it. I know his body's still warm but the tide doesn't wait.

It never stops and neither do we, my young friend. 

Ill be waiting at the docks for you. Bring a change of clothes.
