Simple action game where you control a Spinner with automated 'Spins'. Move around to avoid enemies and let the Spins' do their thing. Buy more Spins and upgrade them to increase power. Play through the 50 levels to unlock an endless Horde mode.
Enemies spawn from the edges of the screen and move toward the Spinner. Move the Spinner to avoid being hit by the enemies and have your automated Spins attack the enemies. The pace start off slow but ramps up as you progress through the waves.
The Spinner can be switched to follow the cursor or moved with the arrow keys or W, A, S and D. The Spins are fully automated and follow the general targeting pattern set in the Settings menu. Pause the game by pressing Escape (Esc) and access all the different sub-menus.
New enemies spawn and in bigger waves as the game progresses. Destroying enemies gives you resources that you can spend on more expensive Spins and upgrades for said Spins. Upgrades also exist for Spinner (player) health and movement speed.
There are a total of 50 waves that are part of the main game with a boss on the 50th. You can continue playing the wave based version after those first 50 waves. The enemies will keep on scaling until wave 520.
The Horde mode is a continuous and endless version. The gameplay is otherwise mostly unchanged except that there are no separate waves anymore and instead the enemies level up based on time. Horde mode greatly encourages finding the most efficient path to a full arsenal since there are no pauses in spawning on a wave's end to leave time to clean up any stragglers.
Either game mode can be played in normal lighting or switched to use Dark mode. In Dark mode the game fully blacks out the area beyond the Spinners light making the gameplay more difficult.
There are additional options for you to tweak that change the enemies' difficulty, starting resources and the radius of the Spinner's light. Or you can use one of the presets that do minimal changes while providing a slightly easier or harder experience.
A shortened version of the base game with access to the first 20 waves and no Horde mode. The demo will display about half of the enemies in the game.
