Ohan of Van, a monk, leads the disciples of Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the letters, upon a sacred journey to deliver the first translated page of the Holy Scripture to the king. Resolute in his purpose, he seeks to complete the difficult path ahead in a timely manner. Passing safely through lands from which none had ever returned, the monks at last take their rest.
