Project: Haste

HIGH CONCEPT

Project: Haste is a first-person multiplayer parkour arena shooter on skates, where skill, style, and speed reign supreme. After hours, skaters hijack civil spaces using 2000s-inspired tech to wall run, double jump, and power slide through newly created chaos playgrounds. You have 5 minutes to rack up the highest amount of eliminations before the cops shut the match down, do you have what it takes to win?

BACKSTORY ABOUT OUR GAME

Project: Haste began development as the final project of a group of friends in Vancouver Film School's (VFS) game design program back in 2024. Our goal was simple, develop the best game ever put out by VFS students, and to get nominated for the Unity Student Game of the Year. With our sights set on the prize, we put our noses to the grindstone day in and day out. The end result was a legendary legacy left in the campus of VFS, winners of best project of our class, and most important of all, we received our Unity Student Game of the Year nomination.

After graduation, our instructors pushed us to pursue the project on our own, and after some deliberation we decided to give it a shot and started our own studio, Pronto Games. After over a year of pitching the game and looking for investment, one of our developers managed to pitch our project in the well known TV show Shark Tank. Here, he'd land an investment from a shark who believed in the team and the project.
