Coloratura is a narrative experience designed to be played without relying on sight, using 3D audio as the player’s primary way of navigating, solving puzzles and connecting with the environment.
Put your headphones on, close your eyes, and let yourself enjoy this experience!

Follow the journey of Alex, a talented young musician who is about to achieve her dream of composing a song, only for that dream to shatter after an accident leaves her blind.
As Alex, you will revisit memories, emotions, and everyday spaces, encountering a diverse cast of characters who will help you find new ways to connect with music and the world around you. Her journey culminates in a final concert, where you will unveil a masterpiece shaped by the very puzzles you solved along the way.

Coloratura allows you to freely explore the scenarios in 3D. You’ll orient yourself through binaural 3D audio, detecting distances, directions and resonances. We’ve created a sound landscape (or “soundscape) so the player can explore and complete objectives without relying on visual guides. Actually, we encourage you to play with your eyes closed or blindfolded!

Since you don’t have the typical visual objective guides available, we've created a system that allows Alex to detect objects at a distance through a sound radar. The memory mechanic allows those objects, once found, to remain saved so the player can easily return to them. It's like an objective and guide system from a traditional video game, but based exclusively on sound.

Probably by this point you’ve already realized the pattern in Coloratura - indeed, the puzzles are based on sound too! To solve these challenges, you'll need to tune your ear. And as you solve them, you'll be weaving together the game's soundtrack, which evolves with your decisions and Alex's progress.
