Rank & Ruin is a tactical roguelite where how you command your armies in the moment decides whether you survive the next wave.

This is not a game you watch. You move squads, issue charges, hold positions, and deploy your hero's once-per-battle ability at exactly the right moment. Preparation matters. Decisions under pressure matter more

Real-Time Tactical Combat

Your squads fight in real 2D space on a live battlefield. Outflank, retreat, concentrate fire, or commit everything to a charge. Position squads to activate formation bonuses tight ranks, overlapping support, and coordinated flanks turn a mob into an army.

Every battle is a problem you solve in real time, not an animation you sit through.

The Roguelite Loop

Survive ten escalating waves. After each victory, choose from wave-banded relics, manage your economy at the shop, and make hard calls at the rest camp: heal wounded squads or scavenge their kills for gold. Build toward a strategy or adapt when everything falls apart. No two runs play the same.

Factions & Heroes

Every faction plays a different game ,and every legendary hero is earned mid-run, not purchased. Meet their battlefield conditions and they join your War Council permanently with passive army buffs and a once-per-battle ability. Miss the condition and they stay hidden.

• Humans: Disciplined formations and adjacent infantry bonuses. Earn hawk-eyed archers and ironwall captains by holding lines and stacking kills.

• Orcs: Charge power that spikes when squads fall. Earn shamans and warchiefs through aggression, sacrifice, and overwhelming kill counts.

• Demons: Devastating low-health damage and death explosions. Earn infernal commanders by winning on the edge—flawless victories, desperate trades, artillery mastery.

• Undead: Battlefield resurrection and a reverse economy of decay. Earn necromantic legends by turning losses into gold and rebuilding from the grave.

The War Council

Above every run sits a persistent War Council that grows whether you win or lose. Spend Legacy Points to unlock new factions, discover legendary heroes, and purchase permanent perks that carry into every future campaign. Progress is never wasted.
