
Topobeam is a puzzle game about redirecting lasers in different two-dimensional manifolds. The levels operate on a grid system, but pay attention to how the sides of the grid are glued together as players, objects, and lasers can cross over these gluings to different parts of the level.

Topobeam is a puzzle game about redirecting lasers in different two-dimensional manifolds. The levels operate on a grid system, but pay attention to how the sides of the grid are glued together as players, objects, and lasers can cross over these gluings to different parts of the level.


The gluing allows for many interesting phenomena central to solutions including:
Ability to make a laser run in a loop without cutting the inside off from the outside
Ability make a laser turn without a mirror
Ability to reorient objects by pushing them in a carefully-chosen loop
Ability for a laser to make a loop with fewer than three 90-degree turns
Ability to get the inside piece out of the box:

This product is a demo and features 12 handcrafted levels showcasing some of the features that will be present in the full game once it releases including but not limited to:
Transparent and opaque materials to allow or block lasers
Switches that can open doors letting players, objects, and lasers through
Lasers can be colored, and switches and targets must be hit by a laser of the correct color to activate
The full version of this game includes additional features including:
Use crystals to split and combine lasers
Colored glass can be used to filter colors on a laser
Lasers travelling diagonally and mirrors that can redirect them
