A classical allusion from Chinese history has since evolved into a venerable idiom: When the frontier elder lost his horse, who could say it was not a blessing? Laozi's Tao Te Ching further states: "Misfortune is that upon which good fortune leans; good fortune is that in which misfortune lurks."
