About Green Light District

Lay roads on a grid and connect spawn points to destination garages. As your city grows, new buildings appear organically across the map: shops, restaurants, malls, and landmarks. Route traffic past them to earn bonuses, but only busy roads activate them, so where you build your network matters as much as how much you build.

Vehicles follow roads autonomously, but they're not smart. They go straight unless something stops them. Place directional signs to steer vehicles toward their destinations, stop signs to manage busy intersections, and traffic lights to control competing flows. A stuck vehicle earns nothing. A gridlocked intersection earns less than nothing.

Every so often, a new building appears somewhere on the map with a gold highlight: a City Event. Every vehicle that passes it while the countdown is running earns a bonus instead of the normal structure payout. Extend your roads to reach it, redirect traffic with a well-placed sign, or miss the window entirely. Your call.

Upkeep never stops. More vehicles, more complexity, more split-second decisions. Manage your cash flow, untangle gridlocks before they spiral, and keep every lane moving. Or go bankrupt trying.
Features:
Freeform road building on a procedurally expanding grid
Autonomous vehicle AI with realistic gridlock behaviour (gridlock is a mechanic, not a bug)
Three vehicle types (Small, Medium, Large) with different speeds, patience, and trip payouts
Traffic controls: directional signs and traffic lights
Structures that appear organically across the city that pay a bonus to every trip during a short countdown window, rewarding fast routing decisions
Open-ended sandbox with scaling difficulty and a single loss condition: bankruptcy
