Cowpocalypse: After the Lights

Story

Cowpocalypse is a genre-blending mix of adventure, horror, and comedy, packed into a story-rich experience.

Play as Bran, who wakes up to a terrifying scream in the middle of the night, a moment after which everything changes. A drunk reindeer is stuck in his roof. A girl wearing only underwear insists on being called Santa. A missing box could bring about the end of the world. And it does.

Then Bran sees the lights, and he knows: it is already too late. Cow monsters and other creatures have invaded Earth, and society has collapsed.

After the Night of the Lights, Bran joins a group of survivors near the sea. For them, everything is strangely quiet and peaceful. They begin scavenging beyond their usual areas, slowly noticing that fewer and fewer monsters remain.

Until one night, they hear a scream coming from a nearby island, followed by blinding yellow lights.

Bran knows their fragile peace is about to end. But what he doesn't know is what he will have to endure from that moment onward.

Gameplay

• First and foremost: when a bloodthirsty cow on a tricycle finds you, run. Don't ask questions. Don't hesitate. Just run. Or don't and you die.

• When you have time for something other than survival, solve environmental puzzles. For example, find a ladder and place it next to a house so you can rescue a drunk reindeer that somehow got its head stuck in the roof.

• Leap from rock to rock, scale dangerous cliff walls to reach safety, and try not to fall to your death.

• Talk to some of the strangest characters you will ever encounter.

• And last but not least, experience the rich and unforgettable story of the Cowpocalypse - a strange tale that is equal parts comical, unsettling, and downright horrifying.

About the game

The upcoming demo is approximately 30 to 60 minutes long and tells the story of the Night of the Lights. Serving as the opening chapter of the larger story that unfolds in the final game with an expected 5-6 hours of gameplay.

The beginning chapter (demo) is a remake of the original 2019 point-and-click game, Cowpocalypse – Episode 0 (free to play here on Steam), reimagined in 3D with Unity to better support its storytelling, atmosphere, and long-term narrative continuity.
