Rift Horizon is a survivors-like action roguelike. Take up a greatsword and survive at the center of an endless tide of enemies closing in from every side. A single run lasts around 20 minutes, and the swarm grows fiercer the longer you hold out as you complete your build.
Slay, Gather, Grow Stronger
Combat is simple at its core. Cut down the swarming enemies and they drop souls where they fall. Offer those souls at the altars scattered across the map to unlock passive abilities, and keep feeding the same altar to upgrade it up to level 5. Which altar you open first, whether you max out one passive or spread your souls across many — these choices decide how the run unfolds.
A Different Build Every Run
Combine 25 skills freely to create a different character every time. Sweep crowds with area damage, melt single targets in an instant, or roll a tanky survival build — the skills you pick and the passives you pair them with completely change how the game feels. No two runs play the same.
Enemies That Grow With You
The longer you survive, the more enemies appear, and the stronger they get. A crowd you cleared with ease early on will soon fill the screen and press in from all directions. Completing your build and holding out to your limit against the tightening swarm is where Rift Horizon shines.
Permanent Progress Across Runs
What you earn doesn't vanish when a run ends. Spend it at the meta shop to build permanent upgrades, and each attempt carries you a little further. Every failure becomes a foothold for the next try.

Story
At the height of their arcane mastery, humankind reached for the one thing the gods had kept for themselves — immortality. To punish the mortals who would copy divine power through forbidden ritual, the gods of Olympus took back the very thing that warmed all of human civilization: heat itself.
At the northern edge of the world, the sky split open and a curse of Absolute Zero poured down. Impregnable fortresses froze over in a single night, and every knight and army fled south. Only one man stayed — Berna, Grand Duke of the North, alone upon his walls.
Moved by his unyielding defiance, Hestia, goddess of the hearth, slipped past the eyes of the high gods and placed humanity's last flame in his hands. "Burn your life to keep this flame. As long as you endure, so endures mankind." Now Berna fights the legions of ice the gods have sent, until the very moment his heart turns to ash.
