About This Game
Aftergarden is a 2D shooting RPG that combines hack-and-slash progression with outfit-breaking and undressing-themed stage visuals.
The story takes place in Orb Town, the town closest to heaven.
The player becomes an angel summoned by the desires, or wishes, of the old men living in paradise. Break through the pure blocks that protect the girls little by little, and push deeper into this strange world.
The game may look similar to a bullet hell shooter, but it is not designed as a high-difficulty shooting game.
Instead of relying only on precise dodging skills, Aftergarden focuses more on RPG-style progression: equipment, ally units, upgrades, and overwhelming firepower.
Systems
1. Nostalgic STG Battles Where You Break Blocks and Reveal What Lies Beneath
Battles are action-focused encounters where you destroy the blocks protecting each enemy.
Those blocks are both defense and clothing. The more you break them, the more the hidden artwork is revealed.
The game is lightly inspired by the strange excitement of retro PC-98 era games.
Dodge intense attacks, build up your firepower, and sometimes defeat enemies with technique, sometimes with sheer volume.
Enjoy battles with a slightly forbidden feeling, where every broken block changes what you see.
2. Hack-and-Slash Progression That Makes You Stronger Each Run
Use weapons, materials, ally units, and upgrades obtained in battle to gradually strengthen your squad.
Even the same stage can feel different depending on your equipment and formation.
Push through with raw firepower, expand your ally units, or keep upgrading before challenging the next zone.
Aftergarden aims to capture the satisfying growth of a hack-and-slash RPG, where every run helps you become a little stronger.
3. Editor Features for Creating Your Own Stages
Aftergarden includes an editor that lets you create your own original undressing-themed stages.
You can import images, build stages, and publish them in-game.
Created stages can have prices set in in-game currency, and when other players play them, their sales are added to your in-game earnings.
As your stages are played or receive high ratings, additional editor permissions are unlocked.
The game is designed to be enjoyed both by creating your own stages and by playing the many different stages created by other players.
Steam lists the Aftergarden release date as October 2026.
