About Morhval: Ravenglaire
Morhval: Ravenglaire is an old-school first-person open-world RPG about making a life in a vast and dangerous province. Create your character, choose a starting background, and step into a world of nearly 250 km² where there is no mandatory route and no single correct way to play. You are not a chosen hero. You are one more person trying to survive, earn a living, build a reputation, and decide what kind of life is worth living.
MAKE YOUR OWN WAY
Take local work, faction assignments, contracts, bounties and deliveries.
Negotiate prices, trade goods and build wealth through risk and opportunity.
Fight with blades, bows and magic—or avoid battles you cannot win.
Hunt, cook, mine, forge, rest and camp as you cross the wilderness.
Buy property, store supplies and build a place to return to.
You may become a mercenary, merchant, hunter, miner, spellcaster, faction operative, landowner, or simply a traveler living from one job to the next.
EXPLORE A VAST PROVINCE
The current Early Access world spans nearly 250 km², from dense northern forests and dark western woods to wide plains, coastlines and arid southern regions. Travel on foot or horseback. Follow roads between settlements, stop at isolated taverns, investigate rumors, and leave the safe path in search of caves, ruins, camps and procedural dungeons. Distance matters. A simple journey may become an opportunity, an ambush, a desperate retreat, or a grave.
GROW BY DOING
Skills improve as you use them. Your starting class shapes your first steps, but it does not determine your future. Develop your strength, agility, speed and intelligence. Learn spells, master different weapons, carry more equipment, move faster and become better at the activities that define your character. Combat is direct, dangerous and deliberately old-school. Enemies may flee, surrender or overwhelm an unprepared traveler.
A SYSTEMIC SANDBOX
Settlements generate work. Factions pursue their own interests. Traders react to what you offer. Contracts can be negotiated. Hunger, rest, time, weather and distance influence every journey. Morhval is built around freedom, scale and emergent stories rather than a fixed sequence of objectives. One campaign may become a life of trade and property. Another may revolve around faction advancement, dungeon exploration, hunting, magic, crime, or simple survival on the road.
CURRENT EARLY ACCESS VERSION
The core sandbox experience is playable now. The current version includes open-world exploration, character progression, first-person combat, magic, settlements, factions, contracts, trading, survival systems, horse travel, camps, property, gathering and crafting activities, caves and procedural dungeons. The complete main storyline is not yet available. Larger authored locations, additional factions, enemies, equipment, spells, quests, events, balancing, interface improvements and technical polish are planned during Early Access. Morhval: Ravenglaire is a solo-developed RPG with a deliberately retro, low-poly presentation. Early Access players should expect occasional rough edges while the world and its systems continue to grow.
