At the edge of the known world stands a tower that does not belong to the mortal realm—the Grimspire.

No one knows where it came from. Some say it is the gateway to the underworld. Others claim it is an ancient seal. A few whisper that it is calamity made manifest—the abyss, seeping into the world through an endless wound. Countless souls have entered. None returned.

You are Kaelos, a forgotten Eldritch Knight stepping once more into the Spire. Reality frays within these walls. Lost souls wander as twisted monsters. No one knows what awaits at the top. All you know is that to survive, you must climb. Floor by floor.

Reach the top, and you may find the way out. Or you may find that the top is just another mouth of the abyss.

EXTRACTION GAMEPLAY — Risk vs. Reward

If death had no cost, retreat would mean nothing. Grimspire turns every run into a high-stakes gamble:

• Free Exploration: Roam procedurally generated floors at will. No forced room clearing—only boss rooms lock you in.

• Scavenge Resources: Open chests for runes, potions, and materials—every item you find can make you stronger.

• Extraction Points: Each floor has multiple retreat rooms—some hidden, some marked. Clear the enemies and extract safely, keeping everything you've collected.

• Death Penalty: All items in your backpack are dropped on death. Equipped gear takes a durability hit to zero.

• Corpse Recovery: On your next run, your corpse spawns in a random room. Reclaim your lost loot—but if you die again before recovering it, it's gone forever.

• Endless Descent: After clearing a floor boss, choose to descend further. Keep all your in-run upgrades (relics). Each deeper floor grants enemies random buffs—risk and reward climb together.

ACTION COMBAT — Fluid Combos, Infinite Builds

• Gear is Your Skill Kit: Skills are bound to equipment. Switch gear to instantly swap your entire skill set.

• Multiple Playstyles: Go full mage and spam spells from range, or become an unflinching melee powerhouse—or hybridize and have it all.

• Smooth Controls: Skill canceling, dashing, AoE crowd-clearing, single-target burst, i-frame dodges—find your rhythm.

• Combo System: Experiment and craft your own combos for relentless, oppressive damage.

ROGUELIKE IN-RUN GROWTH

Extract with your spoils, or risk it all with your relics and push deeper—that is the question.

• Artifacts: Powerful items found mid-run that grant unique abilities or mechanics.

• Room Clear Rewards: Every cleared room grants a random-quality relic.

• Artifacts last only for the current run**—they vanish on death or extraction, but carry over when you descend deeper.

ELEMENTAL SYSTEM — Choose Your Path

Damage goes beyond Physical and Magic—you can also channel four elements. Every elemental hit applies a unique stacking effect on the enemy. Each element plays completely differently:

• 🔥 Fire: Builds Rage → increased move speed & attack speed → Auto-attack / Speed builds

• ⚡ Lightning → Inflicts Vulnerability on target, increased damage taken → Burst / Skill-spam builds

• ☠️ Poison → Stacking DoT that consumes layersover time → Combo / Stacking builds

• ❄️ Ice →  Slows target action speed → Control / Kite builds

Bring materials back from the Spire and turn ordinary gear into something extraordinary:

• Enhance: Upgrade gear level to increase base stats

• Socket: Implant runes into gear to form Runewords

• Craft: Use blueprints and materials at the workshop to create targeted equipment

• Reforge: Gear comes with random affixes—reforge them until your build clicks

• Every piece of gear carries random Affinity affixes, offering unique stat bonuses or special effects

• Matching affixes across different gear pieces form an Affinity Bond—reach the threshold to activate set bonuses

• Bonds have quality tiers—higher quality requires more pieces but delivers exponentially stronger effects
